Terms of Service
Effective Date: March 2026
These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of thewallguy.com (the "Site") and the structural engineering services provided by The Wall Guy ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms.
Services
The Wall Guy provides structural engineering services, including but not limited to load-bearing wall removal analysis, beam sizing, and stamped structural letters for residential projects in Connecticut. All engineering services are performed by or under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer registered in the State of Connecticut.
Scope of Engineering Services
Structural letters and engineering analyses are prepared for the specific project, scope, and conditions identified during the site visit and documented in the letter. They are not transferable to other projects or properties. Any changes to the project scope, structural conditions, or construction approach after the letter is issued may require additional engineering review.
Professional Responsibility
Engineering services are performed in accordance with applicable Connecticut building codes, the International Residential Code (IRC), and accepted structural engineering practice. Our liability is limited to the engineering services we provide and does not extend to construction means, methods, or workmanship performed by contractors or other parties.
Site Conditions
Our engineering analysis is based on conditions observed during the site visit and information provided by the client or contractor. Concealed conditions that are not visible or accessible during the site visit may affect the engineering recommendations. If concealed conditions differ from those assumed in the structural letter, the client or contractor must notify us before proceeding with construction.
Payment
Fees for engineering services are quoted on a per-project basis and are due as agreed upon engagement. We reserve the right to withhold delivery of stamped documents until payment is received.
Website Content
The information on this Site is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute engineering advice. Every project is unique and requires a site-specific analysis by a licensed Professional Engineer. Do not rely on general information from this Site as a substitute for professional engineering services.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Wall Guy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of this Site or from engineering services provided, regardless of the cause of action. Our total liability for any claim related to engineering services shall not exceed the fee paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless The Wall Guy from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from construction activities, contractor workmanship, unauthorized modifications to the engineered design, or failure to notify us of changed conditions as described above.
Intellectual Property
All content on this Site, including text, design, and layout, is the property of The Wall Guy and is protected by copyright.
